Recut

How to make a slowed and reverb version of a song

Attach the song and ask for "slowed and reverb". Recut slows it down with the pitch falling as it slows, and adds an echo tail, light or heavy. Ask for "nightcore" and it speeds the song up with the pitch rising instead.

What to typeMake a slowed and reverb version of this song at 0.8 speed with heavy reverb.

Step by step

  1. Attach the trackAdd an MP3, WAV or other sound file to a Recut project, or a video whose sound you want to use.
  2. Say the effectSlowed, slowed and reverb, daycore, nightcore, or a speed like 0.85.
  3. Choose the reverbNone, light or heavy.
  4. Run and listenIt runs on your device with no model cost. Try two speeds and keep both versions to compare.

What Recut does

Slowed edits let the pitch drop with the speed, the way a record sounds when it is played slower. Recut does that by resampling the sound rather than only changing the tempo. The reverb is an echo with a tail: the light one is short, the heavy one has three repeats.

Speeds go from 0.25× to 4×. Around 0.8× to 0.85× is the usual range for slowed songs, and about 1.25× to 1.35× for nightcore.

Everything here runs on your device, without an AI model: the speed change and the echo are audio filters applied with ffmpeg, so you can try as many versions as you like at no cost.
